Bill Dekkelman, a veteran general counsel with over 40 years of experience, will join Execo's advisory board to help shape the direction of providing innovation in Exec's Genai embedded team efficiency and enhanced data competitiveness.

NEW YORK, August 22, 2024 — Execo is pleased to announce that veteran general counsel Bill Dekkelman has joined its advisory board and is working with Execo to shape the future of legal services. With extensive experience driving digital transformation within the company's legal department, Deckelman is in a unique position to guide Execo to revolutionize the legal services industry as legal teams seek ways to securely incorporate GenAI into key functions such as contracts. His expertise is also critical in building and nurturing strategic partnerships, driving growth, and ensuring superior customer outcomes.

Having been active in the legal field for over 40 years, Deckelman has spearheaded transformation strategies in legal practice, particularly in the technology sector. He currently serves as executive vice president of the Howard Baker Forum and senior public policy adviser/of counsel for the Baker Donelson office in Washington, DC. He was named “Most Innovative General Counsel” by the Financial Times in 2017, and “Lawyer of the Year” by American Lawyer in 2018. Prior to joining Baker Donelson, he was executive vice president and general counsel at DXC Technology (NYSE: DXC). Prior to that, he held the same position at CSC and was also a partner at Münschhard Kopf & Haar Law Office. Deckelman holds a Master of Laws degree in International Business and Economic Law from the Georgetown University Law Center and an Executive Master of Law degree from the London School of Economics.

Patrick Linton, CEO of Execo, said, “The appointment of Bill Deckelman to the advisory board shows our commitment to take a customer-first approach when considering integrating GenAI into legal services.” “Bill has a proven track record of looking ahead when it comes to legal technology, and his practical vision for the future of legal services closely matches our way of thinking about carefully incorporating the right technology to obtain clear returns from AI investments.”

“Joining Execo's advisory board is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the evolution of legal services through advanced technology,” Deckelman said. “I strongly believe in Execo's mission because of my experience leading our internal legal department through significant digital transformation. A technology-only approach doesn't work for many legal teams. Their approach of integrating GenAI into legal workflows, managing quality, and measuring success represents the future of our industry, and is expected to improve efficiency and outcomes, and has the potential to greatly benefit general managers and legal departments around the world.”
