Introducing Aspire Marketing Group — and explaining the “why”

By Aaron Marks | Oct 28, 2020

This is the only blog post we publish that clearly focuses on us. As an agency, we focus on customers, such as helping achieve goals, expanding marketing, and partnering to obtain implementation results necessary for the business.

However, in my initial post, I felt it was appropriate to briefly introduce our purpose and mission.

I remember saying it when I was younger when I was writing this article. “Companies write their vision and mission only so they can cite it to new customers and use it as a reason to fire someone.”

The funny thing is, as I've grown, I've seen this mostly apply. A company's mission is mostly oral service, and leadership only relies on it when it's convenient. I've never understood this more clearly than when I worked with dozens of marketing agencies over the years.

I'm a big reader, and my biggest influence has always been Simon Sinek. His book “Start With Why (and related “Ted Talks”) has always been a deep inspiration for me. So it was always hard when the companies I worked for or partnered with didn't understand their “why”, couldn't believe it, and worst of all, started with their “what” instead. Again, this challenge has never been more pronounced than in the agency world.

That's why I chose the name Aspire. Because we aim to be different from your typical marketing agency throughout your entire experience.

My background: Why I founded Aspire

In case you haven't read my bio, I've spent most of my recent career “in-house.” During that time, I worked with various marketing agencies and other similar companies.

My constant theme when working with those agencies was (poor) experience. We never felt important to them. They didn't really understand my business over time. They were always convinced their ideas and models were the best, and they didn't worry about customizing their approach to suit their unique business needs. And to thank us for all of that, they made sure we were billed for every tenth hour they spent thinking about us and encouraged us to finish our project as quickly as possible.

With a track record of implementing this many times with various employers in various industries, I decided to do something different. That's why I founded Aspire.

I believe you should expect the same dedication, passion, and quality from your company that you would expect from your own employees. And I think small businesses are worth having access to enterprise-level marketing at an affordable price.

This is our “why.” We have set “why” as our central vision for how we engage with our customers and how we promote growth.

We look forward to helping you solve your unique challenges. And we look forward to doing that as your trusted partner.
